filming

We have filmed our whole scene now and have edited it on Final Cut Express. We think that we won't include any music because we don't think it is required. We had problems with the sound as it didn't fit together with the acting but we have managed to sort it out now. We have used the footage we took at addenbrookes and put it at the start as it fits better. Our whole clip is 1 minute 40 seconds long.

We have changed the name of our film to 'Merkin, Skankin, and Shankin'. This is due to the availability of props during our filming process, and in the film we have swapped the gun with the knife.

Font styles

Today we are going to edit the piece of footage we have that we took last lesson of Will.
Tomorrow we are going to start filming the rest of our clip. We are filming at Rosie's house at 1.30pm. I have been looking at some sample fonts on www.dafont.com...

Filming dates

We have decided to film tomorrow (Wednesday 10th) at Rosie's house.

Soundtrack and script recordings

We recorded our sound effects in an empty classroom at Long Road. We first recorded the conversation that Ben and will have during the scene and we also recorded a door slaming noise, a gun faling onto the floor and someoe walking up some stairs...

Filming The Opening

Last lesson we filmed the opening of our clip. We went to Addenbrookes and filmed outside some of the flats there. We filmed about 5 minutes worth of footage but we will cut it down to the bits we want. We had Will walk across the lawn as if he was walking towards the flat and we then had him walk right up to the flat entrance but we didn't film inside as it is not our property. We hope to film the inside part at Rosie's flat on Wednesday 10th.

Stair shot

One of our shots involve the boy running up the stairs in the flat. We are going to do a shot of just his feet as we don't want the spectator to see the boys face until he comes through the door into the older brother's room.

Location plans

We want to film most of our clip outside and inside Rosie's flat. We found it on Google maps and screen printed a birds eye view of it. We then edited it on adobe so we could see where we wanted the characters to stand and walk before entering the building.
